Hendrik Schifferstein, Delft University of Technology, Netherlands
Dr. Hendrik N.J. (Rick) Schifferstein is Associate Professor at the Department of Industrial Design of Delft University of Technology. After having worked in the food realm for several years, he now studies the multisensory experiences evoked by consumer durables. Among others, he published in Perception & Psychophysics, Acta Psychologica, Marketing Letters, Chemical Senses, and Journal of Experimental Psychology: Human Perception and Performance. He is co-editor of the books Food, People and Society (2001; Springer Verlag) and Product Experience (2008; Elsevier).
